Mir Hazar Khan
Bijarani was born in
a Baloch Sardar
family of District
Jacobabad Sindh on
23rd October
1946. He completed
schooling from
St.Francis’ Grammar
School Quetta and
graduated from
National College
Karachi. Did M.A. in
Political Science
from Karachi
University
and Law from S.M.
Law College Karachi. He joined PPP in
1968 and was
appointed member
Sindh Committee of
the party by
Chairman Z. A.
Bhutto. Mr.
Bijarani was elected
to Sindh Assembly in
1974 from the seat
vacated by his
Father and was sworn
in as Provincial
Minister. Elected
again as MPA in 1977
and inducted in the
provincial cabinet.
He was appointed
Divisional President
Sukkur / Vice
President Sindh PPP
during struggle
against martial law.
Was arrested during
MRD movement and
imprisoned for 9
months in Sukkur
central jail. He was
made President Sindh
PPP by Mohtarma
Benazir Bhuttoo in
1987.

Bijarani was elected
to the Senate in
1988 and remained
Federal Minister in
interim government
of 1988 and care
taker cabinet of
1990.He was elected
to the National
Assembly in 1990
general elections
and served as
Federal Minister
till 1993. Again
inducted as Defence
Minister in
caretaker cabinet
of1993. He was
elected as Member
National Assembly in
1997, 2002 and 2008
from NA-209
Jacobabad cum
Kashmore @
Kandhkot in general
elections.
Mr.Bijarani has
remained Chairman
CSB-1, member DCC,
CCI, ECC, NEC and
ECNEC.
Federal Minister for Industries & Production Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani visited the Headquarters of Utility Stores Corporation here Wednesday. Managing Director USC Muhammad Arif Khan and other senior officers briefed the minister about the function of the corporation Federal Minister for Industries & Production, Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, on Tuesday, during performance review meeting, lauded the efforts of State Engineering Corporation (SEC) for playing a key role in industrial development of the country.
